Argon is colorless, odorless, tasteless and non toxic in both its liquid and gaseous forms. It is known to be as soluble in water as oxygen and is inert under most conditions. The specialty about argon is that it creates no confirmed stable compounds at room temperature thus is named as a noble gas.

Argon is mostly used in commercial situations when an inert gas is needed in the absence of diatomic nitrogen. It is also used in situations where low thermal conductivity is required. The most widely used application of argon would be its usage as a fill gas inside light bulbs because it does not react even under high temperatures.
