The Element Molybdenum

This element has the sixth-highest melting point of any element and therefore used in high strength steel alloys. Molybdenum is found in both animals and plants. Molybdenum is industrially produced from minerals and the United States, Canada, Chile, Russia, and China are the prominent producers.

The ability of Molybdenum to resist extreme temperatures without significantly expanding or softening makes it useful for devices that are operated under extreme heat. Molybdenum is used for manufacturing parts for aircrafts, electrical devices, industrial motors, and filaments. Molybdenum dust and fumes are not toxic and there are no long term effects due to exposure. There can be irritations caused by this element if exposed to higher volumes.
